Chubster Corner is in Salcedo St. Legaspi Village, Makati.
I heard from several officemates that Chubster is now replaced by Chili Peppers. This is among the favorites of nearby office peeps for breakfast, lunch and merienda (dinner is not being served) for its accessibility and reasonable price. When I was still attending my gym classes, I remember when my aero and yoga classmates regularly have breakfast here after the work out while I proceed to the office which is steps away from the gym.
I am not much a Chubster enthusiast since I am more of an RCBC Plaza diner, even if it is blocks away from my current office. But I am somehow saddened when I realized that I will not get a taste of the spicy spareribs anymore. On the other hand, I am glad that Chili Peppers is just around now.
So I decided to have lunch at Chili Peppers last saturday to satisfy my baby back ribs and pinangat cravings. The last time I dined there was two years ago in Naga City. I so loved its Baby Come Back (baby ribs) and Killer Seafoods (tuna steak), nice names, huh :p Though Biggs in Naga (and other towns in Bicol region) offers the best pinangat. To my surprise, Chili Peppers in Salcedo St. is not operating yet. Imagine the disappointment when you had an unmet cravings.
And the truth is there is still Chubster. I inquired from some familiar personnel and learned that its proprietor and Chili Peppers’ is the same. (No wonder, spicy food is one of Chubster’s marks.) It is just that some have misconstrued the distinct change in signage and renovation of the place.
So, the place now should be called Chubster Corner, wherein you can find here Chubsters Chicken (offers spicy spareribs, spicy sisig, spicy and non-spicy chiken, chosuey, lumpia, and soon- spicy porkchop, all the meals with a sunny side egg on the side), Chili Peppers (offers steaks, pasta, ribs and seafoods), and Mr. Donuts would still be there. Pretty good for a one-stop dining near the office. :p

More spacious now and elevated elegance in dining.
