I’m now holding the red apple, too

bag
Get this bag when you buy from Magrudy’s, proceeds will be donated to several foundations.

What’s inside?

I have been reading from my circle of blogger pals’ pages their being hooked with Twilight and the rest of the books.

I checked from Magrudy’s, my favorite bookstore in UAE, the top books.  I was not surprised to see which ones are in first two spots.  But I was, when I noted that these are under children’s category. Heehee.

readables

I have long been tempted to get a copy.  But when I checked my pending readables, I still have much, ey?  If you’re looking for the Austen novels, no, not there.  I’m reading them in my PDA.  Plus that I’m planning to bring home all the books I’m done with this December.  So that they can rest in the book cabinet-shelf together with the other books and be shared with selected people (Sorry, I only lend to those who can take care of a book)  I am amazed with the readables I’ve accumulated since I came here in January.  It will occupy at least one bag.

However, the thought of it bugged me for more than two weeks.  I am not an impulsive buyer (though I had my share of wasted buys when I was much younger), so I just knew that I had to have it.  Well, I’m sort of like that – when I kept thinking about it for quite a time, it means I must really like it.

I’m holding the red apple, too, since friday.  And I warn you, it’s like eating Pringles:  once you popped, you can’t stop.  It’s irresistible.  I can not put it down.  This is one of the two new reasons why I’m always excited to get off from work.  The other new reason?  To take dinner.   Its’ ramadan, you know.

I should have finished Emma first before getting these books. When I started the first book, ang hirap talagang bitiwan! But I’ll go finish Emma this weekend para tuluy tuloy na ako dun sa other 3 books. ;)

You know, I’ve been tempted to get into the Twilight addiction, but whenever I pick it up, I get reminded I still have a few books that I haven’t read so I put it down. It happened about four times. Now, I barely have time to read, as my head is always occupied with work. Big meeting is coming next month…can’t wait for it to be over.

Haha, now you’re bitten. Like me, i was lost when i read the first book. The second was good, though i didn’t appeal to me like that of Twilight, but i am reading the fourth, it so happened that I haven’t had the 3rd book and jumping to the fourth is bonkers. But then again, cool one here.

Hi Jo, I used to see these books whenever I would drop by Powerbooks or Fully Booked. I decided to give in to my curiosity about a month ago – I got a copy of Twilight. Last Sunday, I started reading it at 6pm. You’re right about the Pringles thing – once you start, you can’t stop. By 10:30pm, I have finished reading Twilight. I liked it so much that I asked my sister to grab a copy the next day. Unfortunately, the next in the series is no longer available in the bookstore where she went. I hope I’ll be able to get a copy this weekend when I attend the Book Fair.

You’re into it! At the bookstore last friday, there was only one copy of New Moon and 3 of Eclipse left. That made me decide to do a one-time purchase. I’m glad I did that because last night I started reading New Moon minutes after I closed Book 1 (I didn’t take note of the time, I slept at 2am kanina). Mukhang tuluy tuloy na’to. :)

I am yet to blog tomorrow about the incoming book fair. I am expecting they’ll offer a package of Twilight series with a big discount. Last year, Potter series and The Secret had big slash. Hope you’ll find New Moon soon!

Don’t laugh at me, but you triggered my curiousity when you were posting Twilight-related stuff.;) Then, I learned the others are bitten, too. I realized that I must be in outerspace before, I should have read it long ago. :)

I, ofcourse, am a Twilight fan. I LOVE the books. They are just so amazing!
So, i was wondering if anybody knew when the movie twilight is coming out in the UAE.

I’m so eager to know as well that I’ve emailed Cinestar Abu Dhabi and Dubai of the screening date. No response yet. I kept checking from the Twilight movie site also. Still there’s no schedule for UAE for the international release dates. Let’s hope for the best. :)

You can find them in Magrudy’s Bookstore. Last month I saw some copies in its City Centre Branch in Dubai. In Abu Dhabi, it’s now out of stock. But they can order for you.

You’ve got the paperback copies of Eclipse and Breaking Dawn? We still only have the hard covers here in Canada.

Felt the same at first. But I can no longer resist it. I’m glad I’ve decided last week because there was only one copy of Book 2 and 3 of Book 3 left. I know you’ll be joining us with the addiction soon after your super busy phase. Don’t worry I won’t be posting any spoilers. I actually avoided all the possible spoilers. All I know was there is a vampire there. ;) Take care, Kayni!

I’ve just started with the second. Ack, no stock of the 3rd book? I’m thinking what will I do if I’m in your shoes. Torn if I will skip the 3rd or jump to the next one. Happy reading!
