*Wolf* with me, friends

Separate sort of chat with two of my good friends very recently.

Conversation # 1

4 books sya. Try mo basahin book 1, maho-hooked ka. May film adaptation na , ipapalabas sa November!
Sya: (checked the site). Tiningnan ko yung trailer mukhang maganda nga. Baka panoorin ko ‘to.
Ako: Better if babasahin mo muna kahit book 1 lang.
Sya: Hindi na. Sa movie na lang. Dyaryo nga tinatamad akong basahin eh.
Ako: Hmmmp. Bahala ka!
Sya: Tungkol ba san yan?
Ako: Basta, may vampire. Haay, parang gusto kong maka-meet ng vampire. Pero dapat vegetarian.
Sya: Hahaha! Vegetarian? Ano yun? Baka indian na vampire.
Ako: Haha. Hindi ‘no? Basta basahin mo para maintindihan mo. Haaay!
Sya: Hehe.
Ako: Gusto ko tuloy pumunta ng Romania? Di ba andun si ____? Sana mag message sya sakin (nahiya ako eh) para tanungin ko kung may nakita syang vampire. Pag meron, pupunta ako dun.
Sya: Jo?
Ako: Ano?
Sya: Tigilan mo na nga ‘yang kakabasa mo. Kung anu ano naiisip mo.
Ako: Basta. Kung nasa Pilipinas pa tayong dalawa ngayon, I’m sure mananawa ang tenga mo sa kakakwento ko about the series.

So on.

Conversation # 2:

Sya: Mag hike kame sa Mount Pulag this wekeend.
Ako: Inggit ako!
Sya: (tells the details of their trek)
Ako: Inggit talaga ako. Super nakakarelate ako dyan.
Sya: ?
Ako: Tamang tama sa books na binabasa ko. Woods, mountains, forest. .. tapos biglang lalabas yung vampires and werewolves!
Sya: (No response. Iniisip nya siguro tinatakot ko sya.)
Ako: Wag mo kalimutan magdala ng facial wipes, chocolates, blah, blah, blah. At wag ka magpupuyat.
Sya: Sa sasakyan kame matutulog. 11pm aalis , 530am dadating dun.
Ako: Yaiks. Masaya mag bonding, mahirap matulog pag ganyan. Try to get some sleep pa rin. Find a means.
Sya: Okay lang. 2 hours lang naman siguro kulitan, picture-taking. Tapos tulog na.
Ako: Ah. Kase kame noon same time yung trip 11pm rin. Hindi kame natulog sa sasakyan. Kulitan. 530am dumating kame ng Baguio, idlip ng 15 to 30 minutes Then, ligo na. Well, we are vampires kase. =)
Sya: Ah. (Beginning to think I’m weird).

Moved to other topic.

GOT SOME FEVER. I know we don’t speak the same language right now. Wolf, err, bear with me, friends. This, too, shall pass. For now, I’m enjoying the fever. Don’t worry. I’m still human. And normal.

I miss my friends back home (and those out there, too). *Sigh*

*LOL* I so know what you mean. The Twilight characters dominated a lot of conversations for me too. I’m sure may mga naweirduhan din. Hahaha. Natawa ako dito:

    Sya: Jo?
    Ako: Ano?
Sya: Tigilan mo na nga ‘yang kakabasa mo. Kung anu ano naiisip mo.

    Hahaha!

Some of them really find me weird now. Haha! But of course, they are still my friends. Fever!

It’s good I’m not yet infected with the Twilight virus. Who knows, anytime now I might give in to the temptation.

I know what you mean about missing your friends. I miss my friends in Hawaii and in the Philippines too. DC is a tough place to find friends; just my observation.

Hahaha, i love this Jo, i was like this too when i got to finish the four books, the fever was all over me. I was speaking gibberish about the vampires and wolves, and now, ouch, my 2 year old daughter is infected:

Tabebs: Lola, may kumagat sa akin sa likod.
Lola: Anong kumagat sa iyo, patingin nga.
Tabebs: Kinagat ng vampire, si Mommy din, kinagat ng vampire.
Lola: Oy, sheila, yung anak mo, kinagat daw ng vampire!

    Funny no?

So much Twilight virus in there. I’ll be finished with Breaking Dawn this weekend. How long did it take for you to recover from the sweet & cute “infection”? :)

when i read the vampire series of Anne Rice i can almost taste the blood, hear their heart pounding when drinking it and smell the filthy underground as described in the book. and its eeew. so i stopped reading hehehehe…but i think i read three books before i gave up the addiction.

  7. witsandnuts says: September 19, 20084:16 pm

Hi Amelie! Glad to “see” you here again. :) I promise you will like Twilight series. No bloody imagination there. More of blushing, etc. You WILL love it.

Take care and see you in December!

I was really not so fond of teenage fiction. This one is really good. Try to grab at least Book 1 (Twilight) and you’ll see for yourself. ;)

Haha, you read the conversation so well. Enjoy the weekend!

“Twilight series” are its stories the same as the “Twilight Zone” in TV before?

As for this book “fever”, I experienced it before in college. I was hooked to these “Lobsang Rampa” books that I truly believed then that its posible for an “out of body” experience.

We’ll see if you’ll have the same extent of infection once you try. :) It’s really hard to find new friends, as good as the other friends, when we think that the former place is actually our home.

  22. witsandnuts says: September 20, 20087:48 am

No, it’s different from Twilight Zone. :)

This is the first time I heard of Lobsang Rampa. Must be interesting for you to have been hooked to. :)
