I have long embraced that T.G.I.F. is not applicable here. In UAE, working week starts on a sunday and ends on thursdays. During my first month here, I used to say, “see you on monday!”, instead of sunday. In a way it used to made me feel benefited to think that I am resting during fridays while the rest out there are working. But pouting whenever I would realize it’s a 360-degree turn during sundays. That I am alone in the field and the people I love in the Philippines and those out there are savouring sunday. Psychology, eh? =)
It’s thursday again. We’ll be pigging out tonight since four of my office pals are throwing a solidary celebration. Bowling all night will follow soon after dinner.

oh true..i remember we used to go out on fridays and saturdays when we were still in saudi…and sunday is a working day thats why we had to attend church on the fridays (i think)…

Friday is technically the day to pray here.
My best friend also had to embrace that fact when she went to Dubai for a career-turn!

It’s only here that I tried bowling. It’s fun!
we have a three day weekend coming up, so mom and i might hit the women’s cooperative market on saturday, visit an aunt on sunday, and rest on monday.

I used to spend friday nights and weekends at the office when I was still there.
Oh wow, thanks for the award. 
I usually reserve my weekends for some me-time, and tomorrow I’m going to watch Bones on DVD non-stop. It’s my current addiction. Happy weekend!

I was able to savor 3 films at home over the weekend. I’ve never seen Bones yet.
Ah yes i remember having Thursdays and Fridays as weekends when we still lived in Dubai.
This weekend I am catching two more films at the Spanish film festival which ends this Sunday!

Yeah, that’s where we played last time. But last thursday night we went to a bigger one (bowling center). Aaaw, my karma was donw by 0.16. I shouldn’t cool off with Plurk na uli. Lol. I missed all of you.
Hmmm… here its TGIW, as in Wednesday. Thursday and Friday is weekend and workdays starts on a Saturday.
