UAE people heart this shirt right now. Good job, Adidas! I almost got one. I realized that I don’t want so many team mates for a shirt. Only then and there I’m reminded of the stuff that I got from Kulturang Pilipino store before I left Manila.
Even if there are no photos, seeing the ‘menu’, err prints on this shirt bridges my homesickness for Filipino nibbles back home.
(Back print) Tuyo, taho, bagoong, pinakbet, ginataan, puto bumbong: I learned to appreciate more since I came here. Sometimes a person needs to be distant to get a clearer picture of how rich is her country’s culture.
I also got this charming black shirt with print of Philippine map and of its country code. I’m wearing this soon. This may sound strange to you, but I feel prouder when I use very Pinoy stuff while I’m here.
And this one’s the bomb. (The bag is not it its nicest form/has folded line because I immediately took a snap right after I sorted my luggage last January.) I know there are several eco bags everywhere, but I find this one a stand out because it’s made in the Philippines (heehee), the salakot part is indeed weaved from native materials, and the caption makes so much sense,
SALAKOT
Tatak ng pagiging
PILIPINO
Galing pa ito
Sa aking Lolo
Minana ko pa ito
Noong isang siglo.

I have that bag too. I find it really nice.
I spend most of my money at KP last December…for Christmas Gifts. gaganda naman kasi ng items nila. Pati yung pambalot ng cookies ko sa KP ko rin nabili. Naging creative tulot and dating hehehe!
Cute shirt! the shirt with the menu makes make hungry!!! I agree, when we live outside our own country, that’s the time we realize how good we had it back there.
i love the salakot, and the shirt with all the Pinoy menu. great choices =)
Where did you say you got that shirt again? Mahanap nga… I love it… Di kaya ako gutumin ng sobra sobra pag ginamit ko yan?
won’t you feel a walking menu while walking around with that shirt with the list of food? i bet pag sinuot mo yan sa ibang bansa, you will have Filipinos you don’t even know smile at you.
hahaha. cute shirt! i like it. mapasyalan nga ang kulturang pilipino mamaya.

Team Manila and Kulturang Pilipino shirts are great. Loving your country without losing out on style!
i love the shirts and the salakot coz i love wearing something with a “statement”, lalo na when it’s something about being pinoy. it makes you proud to show it to the rest of the world.

i like the caption of the salakot! honestly, the “menus” shirt looks cooler.
That’s a cool shirt. A gastronomic feast on a single shirt.

Missing the Philippines so much!!!

Very nice finds! I love Adidas. I just hope they’ll do an “I heart Manila”. I like the blue shirt too with all the Pinoy dishes. You’re like a walking menu for a fancy carinderia! Aylabit.
I haven’t checked out Kulturang Pilipino here in Pinas in a long time. I always buy Team Manila goods whnever I want a Pinoy touch in my ensemble.
nice shirts jo, i love it!
i plan to buy lots of pinoy-made shirts in the phils when i visit again (kailan kaya???).

i love the salakot bag caption.and the shirt, mapapalunok ka ‘pag nakita’t nabasa mo. i think i first saw that sa houseonahill.
where did you get the menu shirt? i want one! for the longest time i’ve been telling my husband that i’m tired of wearing products made by other countries and have actually been contemplating using a philippine-made bayong for a bag. we should be proud of our pinoy products. =)
I remember buying a shirt with this printed on it:
Huuwaaaaw!
It’s so MA-INIT
in the Philippines!
I loved it kaso di pala kasya sakin, so I gave it to my brother na lang.
Kahit katakam takam tingnan. hehe

if anyone like culturally themed pinoy graphic tees, why not check out this company…
They have very nice stuff no? Even before I went abroad I am already their suki.
It’s a good feeling. It always brings us to and makes us to always remember our real home.
Thanks, Kayni. I remember when I was inside the store I was holding plenty of shirts. Ang hirap pumili because they are all nice.
From Kulturang Pilipino, Sheng. You can check from the nearest SM there.
These type of tees really get attention. I remember when I was wearing a souvenir shirt from Davao, someone I don’t know approached me (inside the mall) to ask where I got it.
Heehee, this post is now turning out to be a promotion for Kulturang Pilipino. Which is not. I support them anyway because they have good stuff.
I agree. I admire their ever flourishing ideas.
There are so many statement tees, but it’s indeed cool to wear something so Pinoy.
That would be a nice gift to balikbayans or those going abroad. There are so many good stuff from Kulturang Pilipino.
The salakot bag is nice no? =) I am so yabang whenever I’m using it. Heehee.
I got the statement tees and salakot bag from Kulturang Pilipino. This is a boutique located inside SM Malls.
Well said. Para ngang feast. Heehee.
Nakakatuwa yung mga designs no? Eto lang binili ko nung December. Tapos dinala ko na lang yung souvenir shirts ko pabalik dito.
Uy, mukhang maganda nga yung Team Philippines na print. The non-Filipinos would assume you’re part of a group or something.
I like Adidas, too. The same day that I almost got that shirt, I opted to buy a pair of shoes instead because I thought my menu shirt is lovelier.
Thanks, Ibyang. Maybe the I Heart Dubai shirt is not that appealing enough to Filipinos because we have better statement tees there.
Yes, I think one of Sassy Lawyer’s daughters also has this ‘menu’ shirt.
I did wear it last weekend and this caught a lot of attention.
Got it from Kulturang Pilipino ( located in SM Malls).
That’s a cool statement. Next time you should get the right size.
It’s good the designs are getting better. Makes me prouder to wear them.
