to learn about other faith is enriching. it can also enlighten. and if one choose to leave one’s faith because he has seen the light from another, it does not make him less of a man, i believe.

Great post! I’ve always said that if you want to understand other cultures and how they view yours, read their holy books. I am Jewish and in college I made a point of taking some courses in comparative religion. I own a copy of the New Testament, right alongside the Pentateuch. And I’ve read it. Today, I can hold my own in any conversation about religion from an educated perspective. I applaud you.
