Either way is less scary compared to the slide in Snow Park, but still thrilling because of the bouncing at the far end that will make you feel that you’re being thrown out.

The first time I visited Ski Dubai was in March of last year. I remember I chilled a lot especially that winter was just about to end that time. Unlike Star City’s Snow World (in December 2007) wherein only a long jacket was provided, pants, jackets, boots, socks, and necessary accessories for the skiiers are handed to the visitors at the entrance.

In addition, helmet is required for those below 13 years old. Most of the adult visitors wear bonnets. I purchased one last year, together with the mittens, from Ski Dubai store (selling mostly souvenir items). I suggest you purchase the ones with ‘Ski Dubai’ embroidered on it because these will serve as practical memento aside from that these are reusable.

If I am to name food spots inside Mall of the Emirates which are strategically situated, these would be St. Moritz and Costa cafes. Both are neighbor establishments of Ski Dubai. With Costa Cafe on second level (where we dined), with the other on the ground.

Whichever cafe you would go in, you will definitely be regaled by the sight of people charmingly chilling, chairlifting, having huge fun.

When I visited Lights and Sounds Museum in Intramuros, Manila in September 2006, I was wowed by very interesting pieces inside it including the colorful murals showing a lively run through of Philippine History.

My most favorite is this image of Filipino natives. This is included in the murals in memory of the the families of and those who actually joined the Bataan’s Death March in 1942 during World War II.
