The joy of less

And then it seems that happiness, like peace or passion, comes most freely when it isn’t pursued. – Pico Iyer, The Joy of Less

So true. It also sometimes comes when you least ecpect it and when you need it most.

ang ganda…and I believe in it 100%. [in our present situation (globally), it will not be far-fetched for us to be in the shoes of Pico. the difference will lie in how we would take it.]

i’ve also always believed that simplicity is the beauty of life! :)

Then let’s all live in Japan. Joke.

I’ve the same sentiments. I mean I know that I’m going to be joyful only if I shed myself with insecurities (monetary, physically, etc). Pero no matter what I do, I always end up choosing security over freedom. Kaya nga nasa Saudi pa rin ako e, doing the same boring job for more than ten years now.

Am I happy? I’m trying to be. Someday, I know I’d be more than happy…I’d finally be joyful!

i sometimes think about giving up my job and go teach English somewhere in Asia. i love simplicity and although i am blessed with a lot of things, i try very hard to find the time and place to be alone and to be with myself.

I hope to do, too. It’s so tempting. But maybe not too soon.
