He gave up a lot of himself in order to gain the wealth and fame he had. There are a lot of vultures in this world and we all need to be grounded enough to know who our true friends are. I'm not saying that he didn't know who his true friends were but the constant presence of people who wanted a piece of him certainly made life very difficult for him. May he finally get the peace that he has always longed for. MJ’s death saddens me because I’ve always sensed the profound unhappiness in the man.
