These old kitchen utensils are still very useful and are one of the many interesting pieces that you will find in Bale Dutung, Angeles City.

While this huge stone mortar is located near the entrance. I tried lifting it, wow, it’s genuinely heavy.

kila nanay sa bahay meron din kaming pang bayo,para naman yun sa paggawa ng nilupak-yun yung sa kamote o kaya ube, o kaya saging na saba.:)

wow, i love that stone mortar! i haven’t seen one in ages! my lola had one when i was a kid and we used it to prepare “nilupak na saging” and “espasol” during summer break. it was heavy and we had to wear gloves to avoid blisters on our hands.:P
