Chasing the memories
Recently I watched this scene wherein a couple is going through an arbitration about their marriage/child custody. They were nagging each other infront of their lawyers as if they were in a jungle. To breeze in the tension, the husband’s counsel asked the couple to narrate how they met and fall in love. I knew what he was thinking. At first it didn’t make sense. But soon as they spoke how it all started, they started to soften as if they were transported to the first day they met.
I remember a part of my message to my newly married friends,
“When you are lost, chase the memories of falling in love.”

Kind of like that movie Definitely, Maybe. We liked it so much that we bought the original DVD.

That is a wonderful food for thought.
Someone was quoted as saying:
To fall in love is awfully simple, but to fall out of love is simply awful.

Why do marriage last for some?
When love goes away…
Just remember what you promised
and responsibility takes its place.

That’s a good practice especially during the times when it’s difficult to compromise. Husband and I usually reminisce those days and friends are already complaining they’ve heard it a hundred times.
