Greetings!

I am Fr. Ricardo Mariano T. Eleazar, Diocesan Catechetical Director of the Diocese of Gumaca (Quezon Province), presently assigned as Pastor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish here in Brgy. Magsaysay, Lopez 4316 Quezon.

Since last year, our catechists, through our bishop, The Most Rev. Buenaventura M. Famadico, D.D., have adapted St. Lorenzo Ruiz as Secondary Patron, St. Pius X being the world-wide patron. And this year, as we are about to celebrate the Feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz next, we have decided to print a more complete novena in his honor, gathering all the beautiful parts from the existing novenas and organizing them, and adding the hymn to him and scriptural readings for each day of the novena.

We thought of searching the internet for tagalog-speaking parishes of St. Lorenzo Ruiz, as you might be interested in ordering copies. The novena size is 2.5″ X 4″, and has 44 pages. Each copy costs P13, and may be sold for P15 each.

This is to propagate the devotion to St. Lorenzo Ruiz, our first and only Filipino Saint so far, and to also raise some funds for our Diocesan Catechetical Mintistry.

Been inside the Binondo Church when I was in college but I haven’t seen it in detail. Like Chuangkee, sige dalawin ko ulit sya pag napadpad ako sa Binondo.

I’m glad there are some photos of the old church preserved somewhere so the next generation has a sense of what the church has been and what it has been through.
