emirates palace washroom

One of the not so ordinary stuff that you will find inside the Emirates Palace washroom. Taken in April 2009.

Now, here’s the real bird. Alive, kicking and… eating!

towel folded into a bird, usually a peacock or swans with beaks assuming heart-shape are common sights in hotels here and abroad but not as usual as that real bird you spotted. with its black beak and feathers, sorry but it doesn’t look appealing though interesting :D

Never seen the towel-folding before. Thank goodness we didn;t have to do that when I was a chambermaid in college! We’d NEVER have gotten the rooms finished!

I love the real bird!

Mine is late in making its appearance:

I read your two Exotic articles. Very interesting. I wish I can visit it one day (kahit pa malayo sya sa amin from Antipolo)!

The only concern I have is that isn’t it illegal to keep such exotic animals? I saw the black snake and it really looks scary; and yes, I do agree that the black bird in your photo looks scary too. Hehe.
