I am an average ice skater. I remember my initial try on the ice skating rink in SM Megamall. I fell countless times. My ass cried the next day. I am thankful that the new ice skating rink that opened in Abu Dhabi is nearby.

i know how to skate, but i’m also not good at it. yung tipong umii-ikot pa!

i’m just a stone’s throw away from a lake which when frozen can be skated on by people, but the first and only time i put skating shoes on it–i only managed to stand still with bated breath. then i called it a day! LOL
Oh you’re pretty early with photo hunt. I’ll have mine later.
But this is a good post on the theme. This would give me a hint on how I’d do the theme.

we share the same first-experience with ice skating–sm megamall din (that was way back in my high school days!).
fyi, wala na sya dun, inalis na. so the biggest (and the only?) i think in manila (pasay city) is now in sm mall of asia.
but unlike you, i didn’t pursue the hobby(sports). ayaw sa akin ng yelo! =)

There’s plenty of opportunity where I live but it’s the thought of embarrassment after falling that has kept me from ice skating.

Great take on the theme! I remember learning to iceskate lo these many decades ago. I never got to skate on an indoor rink, though. It was all outside ponds for us in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
