Congratulations to Kayni for winning the Jane Austen journal and pen. Her entry is a twist drawn on the epistolary novel, Lady Susan:

Reginald to Lady Susan,

The spell is back. Amidst all the rumors and that your heart already belonging to Sir James Martin. I, your Reginald, is still spellbound by you. In your last letter, you mentioned how your heart’s lonely even with the company of Mr. Martin. I am here, been here, always. I know you must have heard about Frederica, but she is no match to your kindness and caring. She doesn’t hold the qualities that you do. My family have fought me in this decision, but my heart have been captured by only you, Lady Susan.

I am willing to meet you anywhere.

Yours,
Reginald

Since there was only one submitted entry as of 25th of December, the other prize (the special edition JA calendar) will be awarded to one blogger-JA book club member, based on randomizer results. Those who have blogged about the four featured novels in the online Jane Austen Book Club qualified for one point for each blogged (novel) review:

JMOM: Persuasion, Emma, Mansfield Park, Lady Susan (4 points)
Sinta: Persuasion, Emma, Mansfield Park (3 points)
Jeanny: Persuasion, Emma (2 points)
Renin: Emma, Mansfield Park (2 points)

Before I babble further, I’d like to apologize for the inconvenience the ‘strange commenting phase’ in this blog had caused some of my blogmigas recently. I thank you for patiently trying to leave comments many times. To Toni, Dyanie, Mich, Jeanny and Mai, thanks for letting me know.

All of these lovely bloggers already left comments in my previous posts with much ease. But recently, it was strange that it was only them that could not leave comments, while the rest can. I even scrutinized the spam folder and items held for moderation.

Gladly it was soon resolved. What did I do? I’ve changed the permalink settings into the default one. In case you’re using wordpress and you’d encounter this in the future, you may try sorting the issue through that.

Literally happy and worry-free as as I did swing from end to end, barefoot in Heritage Village, Abu Dhabi.  March 2008.  Neat sand.

1001lettersfromJ

Over time I have preferred to organize and record stuff online. Especially that in my profession, working papers documentation, its review and file exchanges are all happening electronically. We hardly write in the paper itself. However, there are things that will never be beaten through time. One of those is scribbling in a notebook. (I’m about to lose another bit of my anonymity).  In fact, I’m working on my 1001 Letters from J.
