As the group jumps and hugs are among the most candid photo subjects, I love taking a snapshot of the drinks as grouped. For me, it’s like chronicling the number of people that shared the moments more than the food. Incidentally, I have several random photos of group of cup of coffee and glass of frapuccino/juice/shake. And as I look at each copy, I still recall which cup/glass belongs to whom. Oh well, mine was one of those avocado shakes.
This is my entry for this week’s Photo Hunt.

With less than 60 tempting days to come, I aim:
(a) Not to buy any pair of shoes for myself. My last shoe indulgence for this year should stop with this one. I already know why, but sometimes I can’t help to ask (again) why there’s an imeldific* factor in each woman (remember the book title Why men don’t have a clue and women need more shoes?);
(b) Not to buy another bag for myself until middle of 2009 (my latest purchase was on 31st of October). I’ve accumulated so many bags since I came here (excluding the bags that I left home). I am sending home some together with my other stuff in the last week of this month through air cargo. I don’t want any excess baggage in my December trip;

Two weeks ago, I scouted a copycat of Ferrero Rocher, named Diamond by Solen. It has the same packaging, including the mini-labels and foil wrappers of Diamond which has a brown twirl. One glaring difference is that Diamond is almost 25% cheaper than Rocher. As you can see in the fourth photo, without the wrappers, they’re almost the same. The one in the left is a Diamond, right is a Rocher. If you want to spot based on down wraps, Diamond has a swirl, Rocher has a letter (e.g. N, E, etc.).

For some reasons that I wrote here, we had a night out last Thursday for a treat from four office pals. We had dinner in Fuddruckers. Platters or not, its meals are so huge. Pricing and store layout remind me of Chili’s in some ways.

How do you decide on where to eat? In my case, as much as possible I want to try new stuff. That includes preference of not copying my companion’s choice. Or if he or she copies, I’ll change mine. In case we’re dining at the same spot, I’d more likely try a dish that I’ve never eaten yet. So you can bet that I would dine somewhere just because I want to check it.
But naturally, I would also consider who I’m with and the main reason for eating out. There are places where you want to check just to enjoy eating, those that you go in because it’s a good place for talks, and those which are combination of both.
