Part of the Desert Safari is the camel ride. We noticed that a crocheted material is tied to the mouth of the camels. They’re quite adorable yet I pity them at the same time because they are tied to this activity for profit making. On a lighter note, it’s a wonder how they made a lot of adaptations to survive the desert. Amongst are the ability to close their nostrils to avoid the sand (maybe that’s one of the reasons why their mouths are covered) and their thick, leathery knees do not get burnt by the hot sand when they kneel.
