Note: No, this is not turning into a shoe blog. I just realized that I already have five entries about footwear.
One of my closest colleagues in the office recently vacationed in her motherland, Casablanca (Morocco) and she brought something for me. The famous Moroccan sweets (sorry, I forgot to take a photo and I ate fast) and a pair of traditional shoes.

(Taken in April 2009. Not another juon feet.)
That one odd day in April, a few of my male officemates thought that something bad happened to my feet. I guess that’s what happens when you wear the wrong foot stockings and/or the male observers are not too oriented with the different kind of foot socks a female can wear. Like in this case, they thought I had a bandage.
Not for too long, I came with patches of salonpas on my left foot. Just when I thought it will draw attention, it did not. Heehee. Except for the smell, maybe. Incidentally, my left foot twisted while I was walking in too much hurry few days ago. When a friend learned about it, she exclaimed “Na naman? (Again?)”. More than two years ago, I fell off from the stairs of an office building. It was tax season that time and we worked until 3:00 AM. Maybe I was already sleepwalking that I didn’t notice that there were at least still five steps before the ground. So, I fell with my two-inch heeled shoes. The guard and a friend-teammate saw me. From then on, I became a fan of flats. And I’ve been very careful. Until my most recent fall. Heehee. Don’t worry, I’m salonpas-free now.

Mine and her ju-on feet, respectively. Taken in 2006.
I recently watched Grudge 3 and that made me sleep uneasily that night. It’s interesting in a way, and it applies to many, that we still watch suspense and/or horror flicks even if we know the foolish “scaring of one’s self” by imagining things after that is going to happen.
In Grudge 3, you’ll get to see again Toshio and the ghost girl who is so white (looks like she swam in a pool of flour) and scary that way. But there’ll be a twist in this sequel because the curse was reborn. I remember when Grudge 1 (original Japanese film was titled Ju-on) and 2 were at their peak, my friend-former officemate and I have been associated to having “ju-on feet”. That day, we coincidentally wore our stockings which are highly noticeable for being off to skin tone.
What are your favorite horror flicks?

(Lacoste jelly shoes available in these colors, also in light blue and yellow)
When buying tops, I sometimes get torn with the colors. I would end up buying two the same day. I never thought it would go beyond that. I bought the pink pair (as shown above) first. That day I equally liked the white one, but dismissed the idea. How to combat impulsive buying and know if you absolutely like the thing? Normally, I go for a two-week test or more as applicable. If it kept bugging me (and haunted me in my dreams, hahaha) while unintentionally thinking about it, the bell rings. So I got the other pair weeks later. I absolutely have a happy feet as summer kicks off.
Why do women love shoes? Don’t ask the former first lady about imeldification. Remember the time of our christening/baptism? We wore a different pair in the church, in the reception, and in the house.
I’m sure you do have your own explanation.
